sigma719th August 2008wow awesome...wut makes a song sound heavy and dark because i no there are scales for it but when I try, it always comes out light. Is it a type of progression?
Eat-Sleep-andJam19th August 2008Impressive ! ![]()
Harris Sopovic19th August 2008Thanks. Well whenever i try to make some heavy lick or riff i usually try to put together random notes from different scales and play them in a way you normaly wouldnt play. But for this kind of style i recommend that you take a look at the phrygian modes. Dont be afraid of trying to play things in a weird way. Good luck =)

"Excellent composition Harris, this is very inspiring. What do you use for your sound?"
For this lesson i used my fender squier with my pod xt using the standard preset "spinal puppet".
Fingerspasm7th November 2008Started this one today. I like it because if you do not work on getting it really tight the sound is not the same. Really good for working on technique. Looking forward to your next lesson!

Dig into some dark and melodic picking. The idea behind this lesson is learning how to develop independence in our playing.
