Notes are D,F#,A and C#.
As you can see,sort of F# minor inside.

I love the effect of those semi tones sliding
into the correct note!
Those are the out notes, right?
The two lessons combined (rhythm and solo)
are also a great theory exercise.
Could never apply them to my own playing,
in that sense they are far too advanced,
but I love "studying" them.

Muris Varajic25th March 2008Yes Eddie,with "out" notes I think of notes out of scale,diatonic wise,major,minor and modes(7 notes scale).
But Jazz is wide space where chromatic has great importance.

except few but there is always a note about tuning.
There is no tuner app on the site right now
but that feature is coming up soon I hope.
