Improvising can be a complicated task if you are not provided the proper tools. In today's lesson, we'll discuss a piece that should help you understand how to improvise over the chords as opposed to staying in the same scale shape all the time.

The secret is to be very comfortable with the chord progression. Once you have it memorized, just use licks over each chord to sound melodic.

This lesson is in the key of A Lydian and here is the chord progression we'll play over:

A Maj7
B/A
F# m
E
G# m
C# m
A Maj7
B
A Maj 7

Memorize everything and have fun!
