   Hi guys!

I this lesson I will try to explain the main stuff regarding legato technique. So if you're new to legato, try to follow me here because this is pure beginner level.

What legato means?
It means that we don't hit every note with the pick, so we are using lots of pull-offs, hammer-ons and some sliding here and there. Compared to picking, legato has much more smoother and softer sounding. I combined a few patterns here so you could play different things. Later on, just incorporate this into your own playing and licks.

It's in key of G major,tempo is 110 BPM.

We were all beginners too, so step in and have fun!!

Nice Muris! biggrin.gif Not only is legato super cool technique in itself - it also improves your general left hand accuracy and therby improves your tone.

Still, a super scale practice jam, slow video looped finger placement, and with a band that does not complain, that I really suck at guitar... Over and over?
Another thanks, Muris!
If I learn this in 3 months, money worth spent.
Kudos

loving all of you lessons, Muris! really tight stuff.

One question though: I do have trouble getting good volume out of hammer-ons. Is it so simple as I'm just not tapping hard enough? Or is there something else that I could maybe be doing wrong? I've got plenty of ampage and gain wink.gif
Muris Varajic
post 22nd February 2008

Thanks guys. smile.gif

glazmusik,it might be your tapping but it also could have been action on your guitar.
If strings are too high then it's really hard to play legato.
