The Lydian b7 scale is a great tool to sound exotic. As its name indicates, this mode is Lydian with a minor 7th. It will work on a 7th dominant chord (Root, Maj 3rd, 5th and minor 7th). The track we'll be working on has a small modulation going from E Lydian b7 to a minor pentatonic key still in E.

Memorize the scale first before you learn the lick.

    Have fun!
