shellshock19116th November 2007I notice during video 1, you do strict alternate picking, but in video 3 when you are doing it slow you do economy or slow sweeping I guess down the strings. Which one is best for these types of runs?

One question: Is the B Phrygian scale correct? I don't recognize that pattern in the major scale.

The Major scale is a great key to shred in. This lesson will focus on different techniques that will hopefully inspire you. We'll be using 3 notes per string scales in order to play fast legato runs. Memorize the 4 different modes that are written below as they are all taken out of a G Major scale.
