Hey guys! This is a pretty fast solo based on the harmonic minor scale. Before you attempt to play this, I recommend you to first do the beginner- and intermediate version of this solo.

Full speed is at 120 bpm, but there's also a slowed down backing track at 100 bpm.

It would be very cool to have GP tab on this one.

Marcus: video number 3 - what note length is that? First i thought those are 16th 6-tuplets, than i thought those are 32nds. Than i tried to play it with your main video and i follow you the first 12 notes of that run but then it sounds like you cut out a couple of notes or the note length is different in that run...

Could you please tell us the note length? It would be awesome if you could make GP tabs.

Great idea with the levels difficulties with the same solo. Turning a good solo into a better solo, and then an even better solo. However I changed a few notes around from each of the difficulties to make it sound better to me. Great stuff. Can't wait to see what you have for us next.

Pavel,
It is 32nds, but I try stretch a few notes to make it sound less static. Though I must admit that I played that lick a bit sloppy!! Sorry for that!

Great news guys: I just bought Guitar pro, so from now on I will post those tabs aswell! smile.gif

Very nicely played!

I attempted to jump straight from the beginner lesson to this lesson..bad idea XD

I did manage to play a little though. But I keep hearing a lot of static when I play it, the notes dont sound as smooth. Hardware problem?

Hey Marcus! It's great you will do GP tabs from now on! This was a very cool lesson to learn. Especially the 2 strings sweeps - i needed those! hehe

MattE: Marcus has 3 single-coils pick-ups - they have different sound than humbuckers. To get a smoother sound switch to neck humbucker(if you have a H-S-H or H-H guitar).

What happened to the beginner lesson?I only see the onther 2 on here and beginner isnt on the hompage now?Marcus the way you strike the notes with feel and acuraccy is what i think makes you stand out and sound so great.I think that goes with alot of player's out there ,they can all play the same thing but there's always a few that put there own spin and soul into it and your definatly one of those. That makes you unique!

loved the lesson really very very cool...
its nice you can start with something easy and work your way up to something more difficult than start with something hard and play it slow.

This is one of the most phenomenal guitar solos I've ever heard or seen (& I'm a huge Yngwie fan). What a beautiful melody and tone! I'm just starting out and have no knowledge of scales and barley know any chords at this point, but this really gives me something to shoot for. Thanks for the lesson.

@ shellshock1911

No, it's not a Malmsteen signature strat and it's not YJM pick-ups.
I built this one myself smile.gif

Scalloped neck, only with Floyd Rose and locking nut.
The fingering is exactly to the Maestro´s, as the feel.
Even the way of wraping around the volume knob with the little finger for volume-swelling techniques, and the flow of the picking is the same.
