The Spartan16th June 2007woooooooow...that was amaazing...I played the beginner and the intermediate versions they were both a piece of cake...but this..damn I just can't do it...I'll practice it till I can
Pavel16th June 2007OK i just started playing this and i noticed the tuning is down 1 half step GRRRRRRRRR
DeepRoots16th June 2007wow....
Pavel16th June 2007It would be very cool to have GP tab on this one.
Marcus: video number 3 - what note length is that? First i thought those are 16th 6-tuplets, than i thought those are 32nds. Than i tried to play it with your main video and i follow you the first 12 notes of that run but then it sounds like you cut out a couple of notes or the note length is different in that run...
Could you please tell us the note length? It would be awesome if you could make GP tabs.
spdalton16th June 2007amazing!
Xranthoius16th June 2007Love It!!! =D amazin!
preownedguitar16th June 2007Great idea with the levels difficulties with the same solo. Turning a good solo into a better solo, and then an even better solo. However I changed a few notes around from each of the difficulties to make it sound better to me. Great stuff. Can't wait to see what you have for us next.
The Uncreator16th June 2007Wow, this is gonna give me a run for my money, great solo, superb musicianship, awesome lesson!
Hopefully we'll have more of these "3 Level" lessons, cool idea.
Ryan16th June 2007Yup, this is definitly advanced
JVM16th June 2007Insane.
stratman3316th June 20070_o Holy crap...

Marcus Lavendell16th June 2007"video number 3 - what note length is that? First i thought those are 16th 6-tuplets, than i thought those are 32nds. "
Pavel,
It is 32nds, but I try stretch a few notes to make it sound less static. Though I must admit that I played that lick a bit sloppy!! Sorry for that!
Great news guys: I just bought Guitar pro, so from now on I will post those tabs aswell! ![]()
shredmandan17th June 2007That was the best lead i have heard yet !!!!
Gabriel Leopardi17th June 2007Hey Markus!! This lesson is great! It's very Malmsteen! I promise that I'm going to learn this one!
MattE17th June 2007Very nicely played!
I attempted to jump straight from the beginner lesson to this lesson..bad idea XD
I did manage to play a little though. But I keep hearing a lot of static when I play it, the notes dont sound as smooth. Hardware problem?
Pavel17th June 2007Hey Marcus! It's great you will do GP tabs from now on! This was a very cool lesson to learn. Especially the 2 strings sweeps - i needed those! hehe
MattE: Marcus has 3 single-coils pick-ups - they have different sound than humbuckers. To get a smoother sound switch to neck humbucker(if you have a H-S-H or H-H guitar).
Kristofer Dahl17th June 2007Awesome Marcus - your playing is jaw-dropping, and the lesson format seems greatly appreciated! ![]()
ezravdb17th June 2007cool man I like this!!
shredmandan17th June 2007What happened to the beginner lesson?I only see the onther 2 on here and beginner isnt on the hompage now?Marcus the way you strike the notes with feel and acuraccy is what i think makes you stand out and sound so great.I think that goes with alot of player's out there ,they can all play the same thing but there's always a few that put there own spin and soul into it and your definatly one of those. That makes you unique!
WTF? ok, am i seeing things?? look at 0:05 on the vid, look at his neck pup at the bottom, what is flashing???
XxLeviathanxX18th June 2007Thats f***ing hard as hell to play... but I love it.
jammer9118th June 2007i dont think i can ever play this... first let me finish intermediate and beginner
dimeisgod18th June 2007loved the lesson really very very cool...
its nice you can start with something easy and work your way up to something more difficult than start with something hard and play it slow.
XxLeviathanxX21st June 2007Rvddps- with all due respect... had you done any hallucinogens before watching this vid?
j/k dude... I didn't see it though
krimzen21st June 2007shiiiiiiit this ones gonna take a while

sorry for the double post but just to clarify by " third lesson " i mean the third video including the whole solo part, or the second slow video . thanks- Tyler
lefty019th October 2007Amazing. I just ordered a strat copy myself.
Please keep these cool lessons coimng. You give Malmsteen a run for his money:)
Plaidman9th October 2007This is one of the most phenomenal guitar solos I've ever heard or seen (& I'm a huge Yngwie fan). What a beautiful melody and tone! I'm just starting out and have no knowledge of scales and barley know any chords at this point, but this really gives me something to shoot for. Thanks for the lesson.
This is my favorite lesson on here!
Farbror Kudde17th November 2007man you are sick! ![]()
guitarmasterwannabe29th November 2007yngwie malmsteen..wwooow amazing
shellshock19112nd December 2007Is that that a Malmsteen signature model? Or YJMs in the neck and bridge? And your vibrato freakin insanne
Marcus Lavendell2nd December 2007Thanks guys!!
@ shellshock1911
No, it's not a Malmsteen signature strat and it's not YJM pick-ups.
I built this one myself ![]()
Bulletproof23rd December 2007This.....is......too......fast.....lagging....while....typing ......now
barraquer24th December 2007Scalloped neck, only with Floyd Rose and locking nut.
The fingering is exactly to the Maestro´s, as the feel.
Even the way of wraping around the volume knob with the little finger for volume-swelling techniques, and the flow of the picking is the same.
Plaidman11th January 2008I still love this one. Hope to be able to play it one day.
Marcus Lavendell11th January 2008Thanks Plaidman!
Let me know If you need any help ![]()
Nighthawk116th January 2008Wow, that is really great !!! but definetely worth to get a 9 of 10 difficulty degree...

Sami27th February 2008You are one of my guitar idols lol
Marionette23120th April 2008Damn those fingers got grace
Matt239th June 2008How do those fingers move so fast! ![]()
somecrazyguy0918th June 2008is there any way you could challenge yngwie to a shred off? cuz i would really like to see the look on his face when he loses lol.
Marcus Lavendell26th June 2008Thanks guys! ![]()
Jesse13th September 2008:| This is crazy. This is gonna be my AP goal. To be this fast.
reallylongnickname30th October 2008Lol, even the camera cannot keep up. What I mean is, the frames per second lag behind the speed that Marcus is moving his hands. I still haven't figured out how Marcus and Gabriel will land on the desired fret when moving horizontally up and down the neck at break-neck speed.
Barnea13th November 2008god.. lol..
i'm playing the intermediate with no problems, but this is really hard
Edit for language - Smells
MigeZ24th March 2009Your a genious. These 3 part solos are just so awsome
Frets on fire mate ![]()
BlackMetal61913th April 2009Still one of my favorites. Ive been working on extreme neo classical at 90bpm by Muris. I plan on learning this one next! Advanced that is, I can do beginner
