Hello GMC and welcome into Oriental Guitar World! This lesson is inspired by traditional music, grooves and melodies of countries like Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, Albania, Greece and Bosnia of course.

Why Bosnia? Well, Turkish empire ruled this region for about 400-500 years in the past and left lots of cultural segments, music as well.

Music wise, this style is very unique. It has grooves and scales not so common for Western World.

Another very important thing here are Ornaments or Trills. There are many types of these Ornaments but here I used the simplest one, with just adding next higher note in scale with hammer-on (once with slide).

Plus I played some very shredy lick here so let's call this lesson Oriental Shred. :)

Oriental Shred Lesson contains:
-Oriental Groove and Progression
-Oriental Ornaments
-G Harmonic Minor,D Phrygian Dominant and G Harmonic Major-Mode 5 Scales
-Alternate Picking
-String Skipping
-Sliding
-Legato

Have fun with this one, more Oriental stuff to come!
