Ive been checking out different "exotic" scale types recently to spice my playing up but this is simply amazing how you get a fresh and cool sounding extreme solo with the good ol' pentatonic scale even with some rock cliché... Hey man!

Marcus Siepen2nd October 2008what an awesome lesson, great Muris ![]()
Vasilije Vukmirovic2nd October 2008Great as always!
I am trying to imagine how it would sound without distortion, for example with "Pat Metheny delay" preset in GuitarRig. I see you are a great picker so it would sound clean even with clean sound. Maybe you could post some lesson playing fusion but with fusion tone a la Gambale or Metheny.
Wow, Amazing Muris.
I thought it was impossible with pentatonics stuff.
Unreal.
Muris Varajic2nd October 2008Thanks! ![]()
Oxac2nd October 2008Sick... .. . .. ... .. . .. ... I am speachless...
BIGD23rd October 2008Man I gotta tell you that you and Zack kick the pentatonic into the upper regions and it is beyond myself at this time.

Carlos Carrillo3rd October 2008wow!! WOW!! just..WOW WOW WOW!!
Nazgul3rd October 2008Once I get to this level (in about 400-500 years I hope

Muris Varajic4th October 2008It's not about years Nazgul,it's about hours.
Few hours per day practicing and everything is possible,
sooner or later. ![]()

Erm, I can't possibly explain how annoying Andrews talking head is Muris...I know I'll catch flack for saying that, but I know I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Fretburns19th December 2008every lesson you make is totally awsome!!.you will keep me busy for years....i wish i could practise all day! Rock on Muris!
Muris Varajic20th December 2008fatb0t,if that's the case than you can
forward to playing part straight away,
no need to listen or watch to Andrew. ![]()
Fretburns27th December 2008WOW! Muris that sliding lick is incredible!! ive been adapting it on other pentatonic keys and positions! it sounds so cool! thanks!! :0 :0
Muris Varajic29th December 2008Yeah,you can adapt it into every key AND scale, rock on. ![]()
The final taping section is fantastic..great job
Muris Varajic7th February 2009Appreciate it, welcome to GMC tho! ![]()
Fretburns20th February 2009that final tapping section is so hard to get to full speed....will i ever be able to reach it...im nearly 46 yrs old by the way, and fairly new to shredding! if id of tried this sort of stuff when i was younger,it might have been a bit easier...
Muris Varajic21st February 2009With enough practicing you WILL reach it. ![]()
Fantastic - so much creativity compressed into so little time! This exercise alone has expanded my pentatonic 'vocabulary' significantly. Thank you!
On a side note: there's a c# in the transcription of the tapping part (on the site and in the gp5 file); in the video you play a 'd'. Just wanted to let you know so some players don't get confused about the scale since c# isn't a part of b pentatonic.
Muris Varajic27th February 2009Thanks C-Rock, glad you liked the lesson
and thanks for input on this C# note as well, fixed. ![]()
Alexiaden9321st May 2009Your left hand looks like a spider when you're playing, Muris ! You rock ! \../
Muris Varajic21st May 2009Spider it is. ![]()

Use of Bm pentatonic scale with a bit higher technical level.
