Nick: For the sound, i plug the jmp-1 preamp right into my cheap soundblaster x-fi soundcard.
Bogdan Radovic14th March 2008I really love how you incorporated these harmonics into the melody! Great job! ![]()
Pi3814th March 2008Excellent technique on those Pinch Harmonics. It's really hard to get them that clean.
Pi3814th March 2008Is it important to palm mute?
Tuubsu14th March 2008Once again cool! Pinches are one of my favourite techiques also! ![]()

Unleash-The-Shred14th March 2008Awesome job on this one. Sounds great.
Marcus Siepen14th March 2008Great lesson Trond
Can you explain how your pinches so damn loud? Mine are so soft compared to yours. Are you using an insane amount of compression or something? I already use a lot of distortion and bridge pickup.
Pi3814th March 2008My pinches are pretty weak in comparison, too.
Ivan Milenkovic14th March 2008Great control man, great lesson
Pablo Vazquez14th March 2008Great lesson man!!! Good work!

Hisham Al-Sanea14th March 2008very welldone Trond...nice pinch
visi0n15th March 2008yeahh great!
Outlaw211215th March 2008Sweet lesson... since getting my new guitar with emg 81/85 pickups i've become addicted to pinch harmonics, this lesson is just in time.
Trond Vold15th March 2008Thanks for the comments, glad you all like it ![]()
Dashooter: I'm not using a compressor on this. The active EMG pickups does help though, but this should be playable on most pups. The trick is to keep the other strings completely muted.
David Wallimann15th March 2008Excellent lesson there! I love your video quality too!
Gerardo Siere16th March 2008Great composition, great video quality.
Joe Kataldo16th March 2008Brutal rffing and cool harmonics ![]()

marcello27th March 2008Great lesson... did anyone have problems with the guitar pro tab? It does not seem correct to me...
Trond Vold27th March 2008Problems with the GP file?
marcello2nd April 2008yeap. first part looks of the GP file looks fine, but then it shows zeros and no notes. I am using TuxGuitar 1.0 and that might be the problem. Interesting that it is the first time I seem this type of problem using GP. if you want a screenshot let me know. Anyway, tab works fine for me.
Jopie11th April 2008Nice lesson this lesson will help me to put a few pinch harmonics into a solo ![]()
KWEST23rd April 2008Dang, wish my pinches were that loud, or was there a cat off camera somewhere?

Is it really possible to do this on all guitars?
My guitar is a cheap one, and i find it REALLY difficult to make that pinch harmonic
tobb314th December 2008hey I love this one
but I cant find any basic harmonics lessons. I know how to do one but I can nearly hear them. sry for me bad eng
I hope u understand ![]()
sdicker228th January 2009Where can I learn pinch harmonics. I don't know how to use them or how to even do them?
thefireball12th March 2010This one's a killer! It's hard to hit those pinches everytime! But it's fun, nevertheless! ![]()
thefireball13th March 2010It's so cool to have such control over pinch harmonics! They squeal at my command! I have never played a song with so many pinches, so when i get this down, i can pinch the strings til they scream "OW!" ![]()
Christophe17th March 2010Wow, this is brilliant, I love PH as much as you Trond I think ! Wonderful melodies ![]()
thefireball21st March 2010I think I'm getting the pinches down, but having trouble with the arpeggios.
