Hello GMC! :) In this lesson we are going to play lots of pull-offs, as some sort of exercise.

Knowing that the pinky is weakest of all fingers we'll be using it a lot here, to give it more strength and power.

I tried to combine every possible fingering combination so I hope you'll achieve a lot from this lesson.

It's in E minor key, the tempo 145bpm, the scale is E harmonic minor, with few small exceptions.

Oh, and don't pay attention on "the sign" at the end, it's just some metal running through my head. LOL

Have fun and practice hard!:)

thanks muris, i remember doing a similar exercise- but it was just a chromatic exercise between each finger, that got very boring very quickly.
Thanks for making it musical and fun to practise smile.gif

Any particular reason why all the pickstrokes are upstrokes?
Cheers!

Great Lesson Muris - I have noticed a lot of pinky action in your playing - something that needs work for sure for me. You seem to be a "Lesson Machine" lately. You know we want more Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse etc. - yes the list is endless. But keep it coming. Thanks for your effort.

Thanks a lot guys!! smile.gif

About picking here, you can play it whatever you like,
downstroke,upstroke,alternate...
I started with straight upstrokes and then somewhere around middle
I started to use both up and down picking,
So it's not that much about picking after all. biggrin.gif

Very cool exercice Muris!
I do have a question on the last section though...
The sign you do... When I try, My left hand tends to hurt a bit.. Should I stretch more?
Could you upload a slower vid?
Hehe!
Great job man!
