Hi is Danilo here. Welcome to the second lesson about "Right Hand Basic".

In this lesson we will look at the same motions of the lesson one but this time we will play the exercises with the String Skipping, yeah, now we are in the Paul Gilbert's territory!

Practice these exercises 30 minutes each day in alternative periods, with the lesson one. Practice slow and with the metronome, raise the tempo only when you play the exercise effortless and flawless! So if you like the previous lesson, go and practice this one, make some guitar-gym! You won't get better putting a pick under your pillow but...: PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.

In this exercise (3 Strokes w/skip) we play 3 notes on each string. The target of this exercise is to
improve the Alternate Picking and the String Skipping. The left hand have little to do in this exercise, just push the note to let us know if the picking is always in time and clean.

The right hand use down-strokes and up-strokes in this way:
D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U---D-U-D...

You can also start with an up-stoke if you like. In this case:
U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D-U-D---U-D-U---D---U-D-U...

Mute the lower string with right hand palm-muting, and the higher string with left hand fingers. Practice with the metronome playing four note per beat.
