Hi is Danilo here. Welcome to the third lesson about "Right Hand Basic".

How is your Alternate Picking after the previous lessons? And the String Skipping? Have you said "better"? Oh...thanks! Have you said "the same"? Go to practice now!!

In this lesson we'll make some motions using Alternate Picking involving three strings at time Practice these exercises 30 minutes each day in alternative periods, with the lessons one and two. Practice slow and with the metronome,don't raise the tempo until you play the exercise effortless and flawless. I swear, if you constantly practice these exercises you'll improve your Alternate Picking!

Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day...your technique too, so: PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. See you next time, looking forward the fourth lesson about "Right Hand Basic".

In this exercise (4 Strokes II) we play 4 and 8 notes on the strings. The target of this exercise is to improve the Alternate Picking in a less static way.
The left hand have little to do in this exercise, just push the note to let us know if the picking is always in time and clean.

The right hand use down-strokes and up-strokes in this way:
D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U-D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U---D-U-D-U...

You can also start with an up-stoke if you like. In this case:
U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D-U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D---U-D-U-D...

Mute the lower string with right hand palm-muting, and the higher string with left hand fingers. Practice with the metronome playing four note per beat.
