kahall1st May 2008Nice job on this one for sure. The voice over is a nice touch, but reminds me I will have to visit Andrews lessons where I might actually learn something ;-). Man I am going to have fun with this one. Listening to Muris bend the sweet notes is a great learning tool for me. Some really nice licks in this one for as well.

Nice lesson! But I don't understand how to use a Metronome together with lessons like this one. I have gone thru the Metronome lesson but I dont understand how to use it in the real world.
Anyone who can try to explain?
MirkoSchmidt28th July 2009Hello Muris, great lession. i like it very much.
thats one of the lessions i can learn!
im still a beginner, thats why i dont know that the "g" in the tabs meen. i tried to see what you are playing, but i cant "see" the g.
can anybody help me please???
MirkoSchmidt28th July 2009ah, ok i found the meaning of grace notes in wikipedia.
Muris Varajic28th July 2009Ohh, sorry for late response Mirko, I was offline!!
Grace note is a note played right before "main" note
so it can be considered as an ornament as well.
Grace not can be either lower or higher than main note, doesn't matter,
and it can be connected to main note in many ways,
hammer-on, pull-off, slide etc. ![]()
Eriksson, there IS a lesson about metronome
made by our very own Kris Dahl, be sure to check it out!!
And for this lesson you should set tempo on your metronome
at 130 bpm which is the same tempo as in lesson.
You can set it to play 4th notes, 8ths notes etc,
that's really up to you tho it's kind a common to set 4th notes.
So that would be real tempo, 130 bpm.
And if you want to practice it slower you can lower the tempo
and that's all. ![]()
MirkoSchmidt28th July 2009wow, im really glad about making an account on GMC!!!
better support than from my last teacher and i saw him in real every week!
thanks for your answer, and yeah: i can play the solo in 75% tempo! sounds great!
MirkoSchmidt28th July 2009ok, sorry, but theres the next question:
(sorry, my english is very bad, i hope you understand what i mean)
Its very hard for me to play the last four notes. is there any way to play them normal? i mean is it possible to know where on my guitar is this note you are playing as harmonic?
the harmonics on the 12 fret i can play "normal" and it the same note isnt it?
but that dont works on 5 or 7 fret...
Muris Varajic28th July 2009Yeah, harmonics on 7th and 5th fret are far harder to get
cause pitch is higher so it needs more accurate "fretting",
right tone for that etc.
First of all, be sure that touch string right above the fret (metal part)
and NOT between frets, as we fret normally, harmonics are placed
at those spots where frets are.
And next thing is your tone,
be sure that you have enough drive and attack,
muddy tone with weak attack can produce you lot of troubles with these harmonics.
I would love to see a video of you playing this,
that way I could give you even more hint. ![]()
Kristian Hyvarinen6th November 2009Gotta love this song! Excellent composition and intelligent phrasing. You really brought the hard rock -feel into this song. ![]()
Muris Varajic8th November 2009Cheers! ![]()

Powerful while still staying on the low ground, without complex licks. We have some picking, bends, double bends, matched bends, legato, natural harmonics.
