Hello GMC! Welcome to my new lesson! This one is a Shred solo lesson with some influences of the neo-classical guitar players like Vinnie Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony McAlpine, Michael Angelo Batio and more.

I used A Harmonic Minor and E minor scale to compose the solo. We’ll use different techniques like alternate picking, sweep picking, legato and vibrato.

The tempo is 140 bpm and you’ll find that I use 16th notes sextuplets so it’s very fast in some parts. Practice it slowly and make every note sound clear. Otherwise it won’t sound good.

Good luck!

Gabriel.-

The some fast playing. I'll have to work hard to be able to play that at even the slowest back track.

cool shredding man, got a question though, on the last video (the sweeping) it seems that when you do your sweeping you're doing a sort of "baret" (on the 10th fret of the G B E strings for example) well when i do it your way, i sound like i'm playing a chord, so what's your technique to mute adjacent strings while doing your sweeping smile.gif

Keep on shredding man

Zizi Top, you have to roll your finger so that part of your finger is fretting and the other is muting the strings which you don't play. It takes some practice wink.gif
