The Uncreator19th August 2007Amazing Muris!!
So many people including me have been waiting for this, great stuff!!
blindwillie19th August 2007Oh Muris! I love you!
Travelin' Man19th August 2007One question Muris. I notice your using your pinky to slide with. I find using my middle or ring finger gives me better control. To your knowledge, is there a ruling on whcih finger needs to hold the slide, or is it a comfort thing?
Iluha19th August 2007You make everything look so easy, and then you give out great detailed explanations which make it easy(or easier) to learn, thanks alot. ![]()
Gen19th August 2007gonna learn it right now, so awesome!
Robin19th August 2007YEEEAHHH!!!! This is GREAT!
That's really nice Muris. Now I'm going to have to buy a new slide since I managed to lose my last one ![]()
exorcyze20th August 2007Beautiful! Now I'm gonna have to set the action up high on one of my guitars, can't wait! =)
wow the muting is tuff, maybe you could do a lesson on muting?
Muris Varajic20th August 2007Thanks a lot guys,appreciate yours comments a big time!!!
Slide is really different approach in playing the guitar,so I truly wish this lesson will make it easier!!
Travelin' Man @ I used pinky cause I couldn't stick middle into slide!!
But really,pure truth!!
Still,it's individual matter,some use middle,some pinky.
You take what makes you more comfortable and go ahead. ![]()
Dashooter @ As I said, muting IS tricky for slide playing.
Consider this as my first slide lesson, and I will talk lot more about muting in second one,ok?
Cheers guys!!
Muris
Robin19th August 2007What finger you use is just what you're used to, doesnt really matter. I personally like to have the 3 other fingers free for switching beetween normal playing and slide.
Note: Dont put too small slides on your middle finger... It gets stuck... >_<
mattacuk19th August 2007Cool Muris, your the man in the know !![]()
Nick32520th August 2007nice but what do you mean high action?
Muris Varajic20th August 2007Action is distance between strings and fretboard/frets.
Slide has tension to hit frets if action is low which makes lot of noise...
Layzer20th August 2007Muris makin things look easy
SLASH9120th August 2007Thankyou for making this lesson!
