Hi GMC and welcome to my 2nd Alternate Picking Lesson!!

As we did in first lesson,we'll again stick to time changing(16th and 16th triplets).
This time I putted a bit easier shapes, one scale on just 2 strings(D and G)
and the same note pattern played in 3 different ways.
First is in 16th,second is in 16th triplets and third one combines these two rhythmic values.
Pattern is in all 7 positions/boxes and it's just another way to learn them better:).

2nd Alternate Picking Lesson contains:
-Alternate Picking
-G major scale in 7 boxes on D and G strings
-Switching between 16th and 16th triplets.

Have fun!!

Muris Varajic

Were do you find the parts you need to build a guitar, I am interested in doing so, and yours looks pretty awsome, nice lesson by the way

This one is made from pieces of woods, not from parts and it's fully custom . smile.gif
But there are many sites on net where you can order specific parts.
I'm not sure of the names, google it a bit and you'll find many of them I believe.

Learned it that first weekend. But set it aside for my Pavel Alt 4 challenge. But I am back on it now and it is really cool how it seems to build strength so fast. After about 30 minutes my arm muscles really started to hurt but I keep going and it does not hurt at all now after about another hour. Really teaches accuracy. I will spend the weekend on this one now, very motivating. :-)

Really cool lesson, 16th triplets are pretty fast ... how can you do them with 130 bpm !!
i tryed with 110 bpm it was good but not really clean, do you have any advices for playing cleaner, i think i should slow the tempo to work cleaner, but i m confused, should i try to play even faster to improve in speed and then it will be easy to me to play with 110 bpm, or should i slow the tempo ?
thanks
Muris Varajic
post 11th January 2008

Instructor

I can play them at 180bpm too but that's not the point here biggrin.gif

First slowly,to get better articulation of notes, groups etc.
If you start it too fast you might be sloppy without even noticing,
it'd sound like some sort of shred but not steady and stable. smile.gif
