Yngwie Malmsteen Style Lesson 4

By Gabriel Leopardi

This lesson is reminescent of Yngwie's most important influences: Niccolo Paganini (1782-1840). It's like the final arpeggios of 24th Caprice. Paganini was called the Demon Fiddler because of the demonic air of his playing and his looks. Yngwie Malmsteen took many Paganini's stuff to make his own guitar style.

By Ben Howell

This lesson is an introduction to 'jazz'. A scary word to some people - but it really isn't that hard once you get used to it. Much of jazz is based around the ii-V-I progression. This ii-V-I progression is in the key of C major, so we have the chords Dmin 7, G7 and Cmaj7

Misconception- Riffing n Picking (drop D)

By Sean Conklin

...this lesson is primarily for developing speed and stamina. Style-wise, it's definitely for metalheads, however stamina of course applies to any style. Before you delve into the lesson, make sure you know what 16th note triplets are - basically 6 notes per beat. So they can be pretty fast, and that is the main rhythmic note that we will be using in this lesson.

Malezas Solo Lesson

By Gabriel Leopardi

In this lesson we will study a Rock/Metal solo of my own. I recorded this solo for the song "Malezas" of my band called Cirse. This is a very dramatic solo in the style of Ozzy Osbourne's No More Tears lp solos (featuring Zakk Wylde).
