Difficulty 4 of 10 Three Level Solo, BeginnerMarcus Lavendell welcomes you to a three-level-lesson/solo (beginner, intermediate & advanced). The scales we use in this solo is e-minor, harmonic minor and pentatonic blues scale. Difficulty 6 of 10 Trill Guitar LessonLavendell shows a technique, called "trills". You alternate two notes using hammer ons and pull offs, the tricky part is that it should be played very rapid. The lesson includs trills with tapping, and some scary string skipping! Difficulty 8 of 10 Power Metal Soloing Lesson 2This is the second part the solo continued in the lesson below. But it isn't necessary to study the first lesson to begin this one. This one is a bit more advanced, and also sounds like Vinnie Moore's compositions. The technique that you should use in this solo is alternate picking. Difficulty 8 of 10 Power Metal Soloing LessonThis lesson is a solo in the style of power metal bands like Angra, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, and others. It begins with a nice minor scale melody and then you have a very speed alternate picking part that includes some licks in the style of Yngwie Malmsteen. Difficulty 9 of 10 Neoclassical Three-Level-Lesson, AdvancedA solo in the harmonic A-minor scale. It contains mostly regular picking, but also some sweeps". It contains mostly regular picking, but also some sweeps". The solo is taught in three levels of difficulty. Difficulty 4 of 10 Neoclassical Three-Level-Lesson, BeginnerA solo in the harmonic A-minor scale. It contains mostly regular picking, but also some sweeps". The solo is taught in three levels of difficulty. Difficulty 8 of 10 Yngwie Malmsteen Style Lesson 4This lesson is reminescent of Yngwie's most important influences: Niccolo Paganini (1782-1840). It's like the final arpeggios of 24th Caprice. Paganini was called the Demon Fiddler because of the demonic air of his playing and his looks. Yngwie Malmsteen took many Paganini's stuff to make his own guitar style. Difficulty 7 of 10 Yngwie Malmsteen Style Lesson 3...a two strings sweep picking etude that begins in A major and finally modulates to C. Sweep picking is one of the most used techniques used by Malmsteen. If you don't know this technique check the Pavel's Sweeping lessons in this site and pay attention to the closer shots of my right hand movements. Difficulty 8 of 10 Yngwie Malmsteen Style Lesson 2In this lesson we will continue studying the Malmsteen playing. Today we have a very good exercise to practice alternate picking at high speeds, bendings and vibrato.
