Rock Guitar Lessons
Difficulty 5 of 10 Gary Moore Style SoloBy David OToole David O'Toole gives a lesson on a great Irish guitar player, Gary Moore. This lesson is aimed at his Rocky/Blues style and features a couple of his typical runs and bends. Difficulty 4 of 10 Joe Satriani Style RockGabriel has prepared an easier rock lesson for beginners inspired by Joe Satriani. The lesson contains an easy riff (+ power chords) and then a simple melody using some licks that are often used by Satriani. Difficulty 1 of 10 Guitar Chords Lesson 1 - key of CBy David OToole This first part covers the basic chord group from the family "C". These are possibly the easiest chord shapes - as well as the most commonly used. Difficulty 5 of 10 Intermediate Rock LessonGabriel gives us a new rock lesson! We continue exploring the pentatonic minor scale possibilities. The lesson structure is great for beginners to cover different aspects of the guitar playing in a funny way. Difficulty 6 of 10 Vibrato Lesson 3 - More ScenariosThis part includes a few more techniques, and new situations where we should add vibrato. Difficulty 7 of 10 Economy Picking LessonMuris shows you the basics of economy picking and some licks to play with this technique. The point is to use one hit with the pick while going from one string to another. Difficulty 4 of 10 Acoustic Finger Picking LessonThis acoustic guitar lesson is in key of G major, contains finger-picking, strumming, arpeggios, natural harmonics etc. This is NOT hard stuff to play, but has nice sound and cool licks that you can play on acoustic. Difficulty 6 of 10 Rocker Riff 2In this lesson we have an amazing Led Zeppelin style rock riff that combines E pentatonic minor scale notes with some power chords. Then we have an easy solo over pentatonic minor that combines some Jimmy Page licks with Slash's licks and warm sound. Difficulty 5 of 10 Rock Rhythm n Solo Lesson 7This lesson came to my head when i was doing a warm-up before recording a sweeping lesson. I was playing some bluesy licks and this idea came up so i decided to put sweeping aside and first record this one. It covers some Satriani licks, pentatonic scales and major scale runs. Difficulty 5 of 10 Rocker RiffThis lesson begins with a "rocker riff" in the style of Audioslave or Rage against the Machine and then we have a nice and not too difficult solo in E pentatonic minor scale that includes many interesting rock licks. We will explore different techniques as vibrato, bending, legato, artificial harmonics and double string licks.
