LESSON #66 - Neo Classical Approaches

We have been working our speed up focusing on our right hand for several lessons now. Let’s shift a bit and focus on our left hand. We are still going to use our Synch approach, meaning or every pick stroke, a note is fretted. This will help our “Precision”. As has often been said, “Speed is a byproduct of precision”.

Let’s look at our backing track. It’s composed of a variety of shapes and will require a decent finger stretch as well as dexterity of movement. Here is an MP3 Preview. Once you learn the following licks, play them with a metronome until you have them down, then play them with the backing. Go ahead and warm up doing our usual stretches and listen to backing.

Let's take a look at our shapes. The first part of each is repeated when played with the backing, but in the tab, it's just shown once for simplicity sake.
