Introduction

Industrial to the eyebrows.

While me and mati my friend recorded "tov leiut babait" mati had enough with the jazz licks so we decided to go back to our roots: trash metal. Only this time on an industrial platform. Now we are working a lot with "reason" so most of the other instruments are played with reason. So we decided to make something like trance.
The idea was to take elements of the trash metal and combine it with the elements of trance and electronic music. We decided to take 4 ways of dropping bombs.

Parts

Let's dive bomb into work

Video 1: video_1.wmv ( 2.84MB )

D|----------------------5--7-------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------5--7--8------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----5--7--8---------------------------------------------------------------|

Mati's favorite guitar player is Dimebag. So we decided to take naturally the way dime bring all his power usually it comes with the 6'th string to bring bombs and by answer with the 5'th string usually around the root note. We recommend for you to approach with care on the open 6'th string that mark all the feel in this heavy sound.

Video 2: video_2.wmv ( 2.58MB )

E|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------|

For some unknown reasons we were playing with some psychedelic sounds . so in our country most of the electronic music is psychedelic so we wanted to bring some of it to this "electronic" tune. The scale here is pentatonic so we can spread on a large range of notes, to create a synthesizer sound.

E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Open b string and a wah pedal that you push towards the end of every end of pharse . as you can see that this part is divided to two so with every part you start from bootm to the end of the scale of the wah pedal . this technique brings a feeling of flying.
Also you can see the the most dominate sound in this one is B so this is the fifth of the main riff (that is played in the background). This the idea behind the writing of this part.

Video 4: video_4.wmv ( 6.04MB )

A|---0-0-0-0-1-3-0-4-3-0--1--3--0--4--3--1--0-0-0-0-1-3-0-4-3--0-1-3--4------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

saba scale (persian makam)
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------0--------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------2--3-----------------------------------------------------|
A|------0--1--3--4-----------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Now I have told before that my city is known for combining oriental sounds with rock music. So this scale is a Persian scale . it is used throughout arabc cultures and in metal music . for example "Pantera" and "Machine head".
This is also a nice way to end the tune it is almost an answer for the riff of video 3 and it is also a variation of the main riff (video 1) on a different scale and key.

Last Words

Thank you once again for joining me and this time my friend mati. I think in this lesson there is little bit of food for thought . I hope I brought enough elements for you to get the idea of writing riffs. Many thanks for mati for all his hard work in this project and dedication .
