Hello, sorry I'm sure the information I'm looking for is scattered around the forum, but I'm lazy sad.gif

I finally sucked it up and started using a metronome after thinking I didn't need one as I'm not looking to be a shred god, but realized I still need to use it.

Now my question is...

I'm doing alternate picking for 8th note triplets, 16th notes, and 16th note triplets...

Now here's my question...

I also decided to finally learn tapping while I have the metronome out... I'm only doing 16th note triplets as I believe anything longer isn't necessary? Is this true?
Same with legato, and while I'm on the subject... sweeping.

Should the techniques used mainly for speed be practiced with the longer notes?

Also, what's a typical starting point? I started at 50 bpm for alt picking, as it seems to be a good point for me as anything faster, and my 16th note triplets start to sound real messy and out of time.

Thanks for any input.

Sorry if slightly off topic...

Anyone able to successfully login to view videos from their PS3? I never get the login box... It works on my Wii, but the Wii runs out of memory while browsing.

Thanks for any info... would be far better sitting on my couch than sitting cramped up at a computer desk.

Did a 12 bar blues in A...

I believe I swapped between A, D and E minor pentatonic scales correctly along with the chord changes.

Feedback please!

I made the backing, and it's all guitar besides the drum track... one part kind of sounds like a horn, but it's some dominant 7 chords.

Edit: oh ya... also split the 7th chords to the left side, and a rhythm part to the right side, tried adding a bit of the blues call & answer effect tongue.gif

Scoping out my next purchase, I've had great luck with Line6 gear, so am most likely going to stick with the brand, but was curious about the differences between PodXT & PodXT live.

Obviously the Live is a floorboard, comes with the FX Junkie pack, and has the input for variax... but does it lack anything the regular XT has? I hear it doesn't do "balancing?"

I also hear the pedals are pretty close together, granted this is something I would have to go try myself, but does anyone find this to be a problem?

Would also love to hear about other related products if anyone has any experience with them.

Looking to make that awesome Allman brothers blues tone from songs like Jessica.

Any pointers?
