I hear alot about how fast and smooth the Ibanez necks play out, but what makes them so special? Is it the wood that makes them smooth, say Maple verse Rosewood? Is the fretboard curved or flat? Are the frets smoother, higher or lower to the board, etc? What makes it smoother than another guitar? Does anyone have an Ibanez and another make of guitar who can honestly tell me if they feel that difference?

Muris..you refer to using HIGH action when using the slide. Are you meaning NOT to put pressure on the strings while playing the slide, as you would with fingers? Im guessing you just slide over the frets as you would getting natural harmonics?

I was trying to familiarize myself with different scales, and I started noticing this menu. I cannot figure out what it means or how it relates to the scales. This example is during my browsing of the Ionian Scale.

I know that this is an A major chord, but when I put the G on it, what chord name does it take now? I have searched, maybe not hard enough, but I can't find it, and I know someone in here would know. Its a blues song that Im working on, if that helps guide you in the right direction.

This is a multiple question problem, but I have to wait for the answer to each one before moving onto another, so please bear with me.

Question #1.

If Im playing the chord combo of G, C, and D...would the root note be G and if so, would the scale be in Gmaj
