Hey guys,

Very excitied about the following event, not least becuase I'm playing on it!

Monkeyfest is a festival of rock guitar and tuition taking place on 1st-3rd July 2011 in Woking, Surrey (UK), there are top acts performing and teaching over the weekend including Guthrie Govan, Andy James and a plethora of others.

My band (Doghouse) is playing a small supporting slot but I'm still very excited about it, it's the biggest gig we've played yet.

Anyways heres some links for you guys, hope to see some of you there!

Hey guys,

Dont know if you have heard of this one but its a comp running for a PRS SE guitar and loads of other stuff for a solo over a slow melodic Blues track, obviously the temptation was too much for me so I had to at least try! laugh.gif

Few mistakes but I really couldnt face another take (The fear of the record button had me! laugh.gif ) and I really (Really) dont expect to come anywhere but it was fun entering and seeing all the other entrants.

Enjoy! biggrin.gif

hey guys,

playing my new Electra Dyne head at rehearsal I realised im missing a boost for those solo bits! I was manipulating the volume knob to get the result today but its not the way I want to go really. Ive got a few good ideas but any suggestions would be welcomed!

Also, in front of amp or in loop to boost the power section only?

Hry Pedja,

I picked up on a piece of advice you gave to Jesse where you stated he should improve his chord vocabulary and I was wondering about the best way to approach this, would it be to just run through chord scales until they become second nature? Or maybe learning all the triads and their inversions? Or even just learning songs with unusual chord voicings and key modulations etc? Ive tried the CAGED method and while I think it has a lot of good points I cant help but think that there are better methods out there!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! biggrin.gif

Impressive! I did wushu for a little while and I've never ached so much in my life. Yeah, those dummies aren't forgiving but like building calluses whilst playing guitar, you get used to it and, by golly, is it fun :)
