Sometimes when you try to learn something a bit harder than you might currently capable of, you get "stuck". It doesn't matter how much you try to bash it in to your skull, it even gets worse and soon you're too frustrated to even be close to nailing that tricky part. Then the next day, after a good nights sleep you nail it like you've done nothing else then to play that part for an entire lifetime. laugh.gif

Has anyone experienced this besides me? smile.gif It's freakishly scary when it happens but of course you become really happy. Happened a dozen times or so for me at least.

Hello GMC!

I'm Nocebo, aka Mark Wallström, 20 year old guy from Stockholm, Sweden. Got my first acoustic guitar as a gift when I was 17 I think, and my Tanglewood electric one I bought cheap off a friend of a friend about 5 months ago to have jam sessions with my two best friends. A nice way to spend time together and of course a reason to drink beer cool.gif

I'm an ex clarinetist, and started playing when I was about 8 years of age. I've always been very into a broad spectrum of music. Jazz, classical, metal, techno you name it. But one thing I'm more interested in is progressive music, and music with a lot of musical technicality smile.gif There for I'm not a big fan of some sorts of punk or rap etc.

Some of my favorite bands are:
Audioslave
Dream Theater
Opeth
Alter Bridge
Muse
Soundgarden
Tool
The Mars Volta
System of a Down

If you wonder what Nocebo is: it's latin and the opposite meaning of placebo tongue.gif

Last but not least:
I am amazed of this site! I learned more from just checking the free stuff of GMC in one week than I did by myself in a month. A hunormos thanks to Kristofer Dahl and all the staff, and OF COURSE all the tutors making this possible! This rocks more than anything that have ever rocked before! Also I would like to add that the community seams to be the best ever internet-wide. This is pure love, kudos everyone!

The first thing I've checked out as a member so far is Seipens warmup-exercise. I've always lost the will to play when my hand cramps up after 10 min's. Now I feel the strength and stamina of my left hand building up rapidly and I feel like I could go on forever. Also I get much more precise. It's so cool!

Once again....amazing, simply amazing. Thanks everyone!
