Hey Guys I recently bought a Crate Flexwave 120 half-stack problem is the had to go to repair before I get to bring it home haha ... so I have a FW412A cab and they lent me a spider III HD75 until they fix the head. Now I only have a little small corolla to get my drummers place each weekend so I don't want to bring the freaking cab each saturday ... I bought a much cheaper crate cab as a spare I'll leave at his place the problem is ... It's not as ohm versatile friendly as the flexwave cab ...

The second cab is a G412ST and I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out as to how I should plug the Spider III with the 4 ohm speaker outlet to the Impendance: 8 ohm on the G412ST ... I usually read the Owner's Manual thoroughly ... but it's a old product and they don't have the manual online ... So If anyone can tell me how to connect the head to the G412ST I would really appreciate it.

Haha I'm doing my Electricity & Magnetism class right now and we are doing exactly this ... so if somebody explains how to practically put it together it be great. I understand the theory ... just don't know what to use between the head and the cab ... I can't touch the resistance on the head since it's borrowed ... and I don't really want to void any warranty so if a transformer is a possible alternative it'd be great to know what I'm talking about haha.

Thanks

Hey Guys I just applied for university at Concordia (in Montreal). I'm doing my B.Sc but I wanted to do my minor in music no matter what. I've been self taught so I have no actual theory behind me. I just learned stuff from here and there. Anyways basically since it's a minor they don't have many requirements however they are asking me to come in to do a theory and ear-training tests.

I don't know whether to be scared or not. I'm not exactly perfect pitched ... deaf would be more accurate from the metal I jam to each week haha. But anyways If anybody has or is doing something similar please would you mind sharing what is the curriculum on the test. ... I'm reading and wondering ..oh boy ...

"You are required to take the following placement exams:
Theory and Ear-Training & Sight-Singing"...

Oh and if anyone can show me how I could improve those things I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks

Hey guys, I'm currently the vice-president of the music club in my college and we're putting a show in the auditorium with a quite varied out song list. It will mostly be covers because of the numbers of our members and It's not a "band" performance per say but me being the primary organizer for all of this, besides making sure that everyone can synchronize and play they're songs right is there anything a show "care taker" is supposed to know ... I myself will be doing most of the solo stuff (Rhythm is not my forte / my weakness) but other than playing does anybody from past experience like to share advice such as ...DON'T be too loud haha!

List:

Fade To Black
Sunshine (original)
Hallelujah
Flamenco (original)
Creep
Master of Puppets
Pieces
Time after time
Symphony of destruction
Down with the sickness
Hotel California
Too Many Puppies
Cemetary Gates
Tamacun
Blues Jam (Jam)
Out Here (original)
Beat (original)
Lillith (original)

P.S. If you live near Montreal, Pop in on Apr.3 at Champlain College St-Lambert. Funds Go to Children's Wish Foundation

Hmm ... I went to a music shop recently and decided to shred nonsense on a violen and upon hearing the nonsense ... I realized just how beautiful the instrument sounds ... I'm definetly going to explore further and might actually integrate it to my metal band haha but I was just wondering ... Does anybody here in GMC know how to play violen ... and How possible is a series lesson on violen ... or cello ... or classical instruments?

But guitar remains my love hehe back to my mistress haha

Alright so people have helped me developed a solo in a song I wrote and it is really helpful to know what others think of me and my bands material, I'm new so I'm not aware if there is a specific section for others to check out material and give there insight ... we're fairly novices so don't be too harsh but no one was like that last time.

I love Metal and I love twisted music ... not necessarily slipknot or psychedelic genres but I love to bend music in a way that it seems almost inhumane ... in a good way haha ...

This is another song I wrote with my band (Lethal Vaccine)
And I would really appreciate anybodies and everyones insight on the track ... beware it's only a gp5 ... we're too poor to buy recording gear right now haha.

Here it is ... it's entitled Beat

As in hurt ... I felt like being evil ... don't judge me ... unsure.gif haha
