I only occasionally get to catch up on many lessons. One I saw very recently that I wanted to get back to, I can no longer find. It was about orchestrating a simple melody by adding chords (I believe it was a popular christmas tune ). Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hello Gabe, I hope you are well.

I'm an old guy, so I like bands like the Allman Brothers, the Eagles, Boston and BTO. So I really enjoyed your major pentatonic lesson for intermediate.

It seems most lessons are blues or minor based, and there isn't many lessons dealing with the major sound.
Most of the major tonality lessons that I find are stuff like Albert Lee, which is a little too country for me.

Do you think you will ever do an advanced lesson, or perhaps another lesson with the major pentatonic?

Thanks!

I want to share this amazing guitarist you may not know about with you all. He has many impressive videos on youtube, just search for Fernando Miyata or visit his web site and click on videos (bottom left).

Hi Pavel, I hope you are well.
I have a practice question I hope you can help me with.

Which do you feel is the best speed building strategy?

A_) During a single practice session, start an exercise at whatever your
"clean speed" bpm is, play a few times then increment the tempo by
five and repeat until you reach a tempo you cant keep up with.
( playing may get sloppy at higher speeds ).

B_) During a single practice session, practice only five bpm above your
"clean speed". After a few practice sessions, when you are able to
play the exercise at the new speed perfectly, then it becomes your
new "clean speed", and you can increase your practice speed by five
more bpm.

C_) Other?

Thanks Pavel, I appreciate your help!
