I've never heard of Phoenix Wright either...but this sounds good, classic like

I would tell you to work on your bends, they tend to sound sharp (maybe it's the tuning of the guitar), but just make them a bit flatter,

she really needs to improve a lot. I agree with Ivan, she should slow down and work on her phrasing and the fast parts really need to be player more precise as well...BUT she has the passion and that is the driving fuel to get there!

it reminds me a little bit of Vinnie Moore with UFO, he's got a really tasty style as well in this old school rock:

I love how he just says:"some royalties came and we built the control room"...I mean, he deserves it, and it's good that he's being supported to do whatever he pleases because he is a true innovator.

Thank you for sharing

I think you refer to the chunking of the rhythm guitar? If so, it's just regular palm mute riffing, but in context with the keys and drums it has that effect, unless I'm mistaken

I love how he's just so honest and spouts out whatever comes to his mind, I guess that's reflected in his playing as well,

I really love Vai

It's ok sounding yet I wouldn't get it

I always found fascination for the fact that we electric guitarists use NOISE as a way to produce elongated, and a whole bunch of types of notes...

It's amazing that's through electronics we can achieve a sound similar, yet unique to a Violin or tuba...

I wonder if there's more of these phenomena waiting for us in the future thorough technology maybe our grand kids will be considering the electric guitar as we consider the banjo today... biggrin.gif

pretty simple video, yet it highlights the music even more.

I like the simplicity of the arrangements, I can tell he's a great singer, I would love to see more risk in his way of singing, I guess that'll come with experience, probably in the next album.

Just see how Rusell Allen evolved throughout Symphony X's discography

He's such a great teacher. I love the way he just goes to the point of what he's talking about. That makes way more effective for us the students.

Instead of breaking down every single detail of it, just trigger the type of knowledge that will break down the "uncomformity" and lay it down,

I love this approach to modes. I really use it a lot myself. But I agree with Ivan, you really have to know your pentatonic and major scale upside down, not only in shapes but also interval-wise...what are they compressed of, and how do they happen naturally

I like how you have improved your compositional skills gradually since the first material you posted...It's sounding really great, really EPIC!

This just goes to show how much you can do with the natural minor scale, tweaking it around playing with it, harmonizing it,

great job! I love the "techno" elements you put in it

I totally relate to what you are saying...it can be frustrating,

It's the whole paradox of working hard yet letting go...

I try to be as OBJECTIVE as possible with my own compositions...I try to imagine someone else hearing them for the first, play them after something you love (match the volumes so that you can get a similar idea)...when I do this my ideas "last longer" meaning, for the next two weeks or something I STILL LIKE THEM...but that only comes after being devastatingly objective and painfully cold towards the notes you are laying down...

You know what happens to me? When I'm stuck I usually last an hour or so, noodling, trying ideas, throwing them away, until I hit a spot! and boom, something is there...it's almost always like this!

so the trick for me is (but this is personal) know that it will come even though you're sucking right now, but stick to it, play around with ideas, be a spontaneous hippie, or be an overly calculated mathematician...but stick to it...even spite of the slide headache of fighting with "un-inspiration" ...

Lately it's worked for me...

Sounds great! Nice chord progression, and the way you built tension is well done,

I can picture this as the sound track for a film or video game EASILY!

Are the guitars made with a plug in or did you record them yourself?

I enjoyed their show in Bogota, they sound huge and the guitars sound killer!

They played really tight although some parts that I thought they were going to play live were just set-off on the backing tracks
