Go with the recording gear. It's better to have one guitar and a way to record it than 2 guitars that are stuck to the amp.
Plus, with the recording gear, you can get many more tones out of ur guitar

What kind of recording gear you're thinking about?
Audio card that allows you to record in a first place
or better amp/preamp/mic to produce better sound for recording?

Unless it's through USB, in which case it doesn't make a difference

I suggest buying a PodXT Live.
It has a USB output, and you can also connect it to your amp as well, so you can play bedroom practice with your custom tone and/or live

+1

I want a POD!!!

Yeah, get recording gear. Or if you really want to be supercool get another guitar. But I'd go for recording gear. A Pod.

I suggest any of Line 6 recording products (PODs, Toneports). They all are great for your first recording equipment! smile.gif
