Since most of my colleagues have asked similar question now it's my turn. smile.gif

I would like to know your opinion on my lessons:
Are they too hard/too easy?
Well explained/bad explained?
What do you think about topics I've been covering so far?
Would you like some specific topic to be covered more?
Do you like features on my lessons?
What would YOU add or remove?
Some new ideas maybe?

Looking forward to hear your wise words in purpose
of improving quality of GMC,just like always!! smile.gif

Hey Muris,

I just will answer the questions for my case.

Are they too hard/too easy ?
- Well, for me most of your lessons are too hard, but in general (at leats that's what I think) the lessos are inbeteween intermediate and advanced, so more beginner stuff would be nice tongue.gif

Well explained/bad explained ?
- Good question. I think some more explanation in every short video would be good, but the things that you explain is good and easy to understand smile.gif
If you do that explanation by talking (I would prefer this tongue.gif) or if you write it, thats your choice. I really can imagine that it's hard to explain in english, but Juan Valero also mastered it smile.gif

What do you think about topics I've been covering so far ?
- Excellent. You cover very much different styles, keep it like it is smile.gif

Would you like some specific topic to be covered more ?
- Spontaneous, I cant think of a specific topic smile.gif

Do you like features on my lessons ?
- How do I have to understand that question ?

What would YOU add or remove ?
- I just would add some more explanations

Some new ideas maybe?
- Not yet, but if something comes to my mind, I will post them smile.gif

Thanks for input guys, well appreciated!! smile.gif

Chast,with "features" I meant of GP file,scale sheets,text on screen,written explanation etc,
which is related question to "What would you add or remove?".

Ah ok smile.gif
Hm, nothing to complain about, except that the explanation could be a bit more wink.gif (I think I already said that before tongue.gif)
On screen text is cool, GP file is usefull aswell, scale sheets are also useful, in my opinion nothing should be changed there smile.gif

Ok my turn wink.gif

Are they too hard/too easy?
Many of them are very challenging yes, BUT this is what I like about them. I like the challenge, and after many months of hard work I notice big improvments in my tecnique. I belive doing advanced stuff really is the best way to advance your abilitys! smile.gif There are plenty of awsome beginner to indermediate lessons here already, so I look to these lessons for a challenge.
Well explained/bad explained?
The video sections are easy to follow, no probs here.
What do you think about topics I've been covering so far?
Wide and varied, always touching on things im interested in developing ! smile.gif
Would you like some specific topic to be covered more?
I would like to see more 3-nps lick exercises, GMC has plenty of pentatonic style lessons, but actually very few 3nps chops. I would really like to be able to improvise 3nps style just as easily as I can useing the pentatonic scale. So more on improvisation please biggrin.gif
Do you like features on my lessons?
Sure wink.gif
What would YOU add or remove?
nothing smile.gif
Some new ideas maybe?
I think you should wear some Bono style glasses !! wink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hey Muris, your lessons are challenging, but that's good because it gives us a goal that we want to acheive (the main video) as for a suggestion, maybe some more neoclassicalness smile.gif

I would like some more explanations on your lessons too Muris. I think that your lessons are the best and most difficult here, and you have a great theory knowledge - why not use it more to make your lessons even better. We will all benefit. Thanks smile.gif

Personally:
Are they too hard/too easy?
Most of your lessons are a bit to hard for me. I consider myself on beginner level.

Well explained/bad explained?
Well explained. I wouldn't mind comments (maybe in-video?) like "A common beginner mistake with this is..." and "In this part you have to pay attention to your left hand muting, I usually do it like this" or "Don't solder with your feet" for example. Anything you think of that can help me grasp new stuff, avoid doing it wrong and cut off time to reach the "Aaah that's it" point. Like in a live conversation.

What do you think about topics I've been covering so far?
You made some beatiful lessons. Some aren't in my style but I know other people like it.

Would you like some specific topic to be covered more?
Yes. OFC. Anything covering any style of BLUES! AND SLIDE! biggrin.gif

Do you like features on my lessons?
Generally your lessons are very well thought.

What would YOU add or remove?
Some new ideas maybe?
See my comment on "Well explained?"

Are they too hard/too easy?
Not a critisism but sometimes on the exercise lessons you do, a slightly easier pattern would maybe help and appeal to a wider number of members from beginner to advanced, for example the speed burst lesson is without doubt awesomeness but quite a tricky pattern to play from the very first shape, personally I find it great, as Matt said a real challenge, but just thinking that some may get put off actually sitting down and getting the "concept" of "speed bursts" because the lick is too tricky for them.
Well explained/bad explained?
No problems here, its one of the first things I look at "what techniques etc are in the lesson"
What do you think about topics I've been covering so far?
your covering everything excellently so far smile.gif
Would you like some specific topic to be covered more?
Personally I `d like some more straight forward heavy rock lesson/licks from you, the Gilbert style lessons are killing me but I`m getting so much out of them, more more more biggrin.gif Pavel and Gabriel cover this topic really well but it doesnt hurt to have different approaches.
Do you like features on my lessons?
I like the introduction of the chords on the screen but personally I wouldnt want to see anything else on the screen, distracts from watching the playing.
What would YOU add or remove?
nothing, fine as they are imo
Some new ideas maybe?
Giving a couple of lessons on the solo`s off of your album would be awesome!

Having said all that, I love the lessons the way they are mate, they all inspire and push me to go that extra mile and for me after 4-5 months into GMC I`m seeing some payback in my playing, so it cant be bad at all! smile.gif

Are they too hard/too easy?
A bit too hard- but thats what is driving me to be a better player. You have some unique and tricky patterns that you play and i really enjoy (trying to) learn them.

Well explained/bad explained?
Id love to see more explanations of scale use-why are you using this scale for this particular style? What are the intervals that you try to lean on in each scale- and if theres more than one scale- why do they work well together? why use them both in this style of music? etc. Id like to know the relationship between the scales you use in each lesson- also when modulations or scale changes occur, and which notes you like to "aim" for in each scale, which are good to hold on and which are better as passing notes.

What do you think about topics I've been covering so far?
Awesome! You cover soo much!

Would you like some specific topic to be covered more?
Im prety good with the modes of the major scale - but id also like to learn the other 2 sets of modes- how and when to apply them etc...also i saw you mention harmonic major before- id love to learn as many crazy new scales/modes as i can! (all i know at the moment is 7 modes of major and just the harmonic minor scale also)

Do you like features on my lessons?
The on screen chords are great- and i actually like how you show what the note durations are also. GP file is handy as always. Id love a few explanation videos though- especially for those upcoming crazy scales wink.gif

What would YOU add or remove?
hmm, nothing apart from what ialready mentioned wink.gif

Some new ideas maybe?
+1 with smells- id love some full song lessons from let it out- my favourites are Mojo Oro, Gas at once and An old modern time- so a couple of lessons on those would make my day smile.gif

Also like i said up there- id love to know ALL the scales that YOU know smile.gif (the crazier the better) wink.gif

Well thats me done- i love your lessons as they are but any of this ^ would just rock my socks off.

Cheers Muris

ohmy.gif ! Muris, your lessons are perfect! Just keep up what you are doing. Sure they are a challenge, but also an inspiration. You have plenty of intermediate to advanced lessons that cover everything.
To be truthful, I usually just take a riff or two from your lessons and try to apply them to something else that I am doing. And the fact that they are original lessons from you and not a cover from someone else makes it all the better.
You have the tab, backing track, slow and fast video, everything that I need.
This just my opinion of course, but I think they are great and have no complaints. I see no need to change anything. smile.gif
