Well if your criteria for 'weirdo' here is having multiple pets then I am as well. My household includes 4 kittens, a rabbit and a lamb. We're due to get a dog v. soon and have also been offered various other animals - a horse, a pony. chickens, a kid goat and a pig.
Personally I don't find having pets/multiple pets weird at all - apart from anything else they don't make a judgment call on your character.
