How do you like to hear bass ?? Played using a pick or finger style ? Played in slap style , or tapping ?? Whats your favorite technique and why ?

I love fingerstyle playing, in a funky style ala Victor Bailey ( old bassist from weather report )

Depends totally on the style. Slap Bass for Funk, Finger style for Jazz and some metal and a pick for other heavier forms of metal.
My favourite bass though is slow but technical lines that don't follow the guitars. In our band the bass is the lead instrument and the 3 guitars and doing harmony stuff around it. Do you like fingerpicking over regular picking or vise versa ?
Slap is the coolest thing in my opinion which you can do on bass Tapping can be interesting too I love the funk bass played fingerstyle !
