I have a peavy grindbass which is a great low price 4string bass but with very bad pickups. I use a Warwick W.C 15.2 Sweet combo, it's 150 watts combo with a 15''speaker and a graphic eqaulizer.

Yeah Peavey makes really good quality stuff for the price! That grind bass should be pretty good choice! Have you thought of replacing the pickups ? I don't know if they are standard size though , mine or my Cirrus bass aren't standards size so I'm not able to replace them sad.gif

15" speaker is cool choice, really oldshool sound , lots of lows...I have 15" my amp , I'm just missing a little more response and definition..Speaker tends to be slow sometimes.I'm thinking of getting 2x10 cab to fulfill the spectrum smile.gif

I would really recommend Peavey basses to anyone who is on budget when buying a guitar...Or some other "jazz bass like" one with 2 single pickups..

I just got a Gretsch Electromatic Shortscale Bass. After trying just about everything they had in that price range, it had the sound and feel I liked the most.

Great gear guys!
Mine stayed the same, only I got an American Fender Jazz Bass deluxe with maple neck and ash body in the mean time. Bass sounds really sweet and works well...
