Well done Tj.

I listened several times and really liked the idea you where developing. Sounds great as always tongue.gif .

I think your shred picking is getting more accurate and clean. I also like the fact that you went back to using more variations with your vibrato. What I mean is that you mixed up the whammy with your great left hand vibrato more and also used them in the right places with this track to create more emotion. Hope that make since.

Locking forward to your next track.

PS: What key is the track in. It will save me some time when I jam with it.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Very cool playing. I think your strongest weapon are tone control, vibrato control and creativity. With those you can fight anywhere. I could also hear great feelings, expressions and phrasing as well. About the fast part, well I can hear that you need a bit more time to make that clean. It is much harder to achieve what you've got now than to play fast. It is also more important to have a good note control rather than playing bunch of fast licks. But you can take some scale exercises ang go up and down everyday, you'll get there eventually smile.gif

Tj very melodic in creative!

Record couple of more takes but try to have your phrasing dead on this time.
Also for the fast parts, I recommend practicing them with metronome first really well then apply it in solo.

Overall very cool solo , just the phrasing is off at times and you need to work on it .

Thanks

Yeah, Speed will come with time, Will probably have my chops up to near full in a year a two..

But you're right, you are always using a fast run to get into a more basic lick, that will require good tone and vibrato. But I would like to get to have some nice chops, so I can utilise them when needed, and they can make some stuff even more dramatic than with only slow playing. smile.gif

Sounds very nice TJ, backing is pretty cool, and playing very nice as well. Phrasing is good in all the tune, but in second part, a bit more precision would be even better with those runs. Other than that it sounds very good.

Great take tj ... your progress is amazing. Always love to hear your playing smile.gif

What is this backing ... it's nice to jam over. Is it a backing of a petrucci song, i mean something known?
