Hi everyone , I was looking for some recording hardware through PC, so I could record my improvisations , and maybe even using some nice distortions instead of my amp's , not something professional, around the 70-80$

hope you can help me with that rolleyes.gif

My vote for Toneport GX as well. Here's a review of it on Wiki. You will get a modeler software with it called the Gearbox, which is cool. I use it for all my lessons.

Not at all, as the Toneport GX is an audio interface (replacing effectly the soundcard of your PC for the recording).

The gearboxs/studio software is actually modelling all kinds of amps. You should be directly connecting your guitar in the Toneport GX in order to have the best sound quality.

Sure it can be done no problem mate. You can put any amp, pedal or processor unit in front of GX and it will give you that sound. But most of the time you won't have to as GX has Gearbox which is great for plug&play thing. But you do can connect anything else if you want.

Also - GX is (external USB) sound card. You won't be using your current soundcard when you buy this unit, it will be your sound card, just connect the speakers to GX output and your good to go.

Yeah the UX is a bit more, but you get a mic option so if you want to use a mic to record down the road you can.
