Whats The Difference Between Hybrid Picking And Chicken Picking ?

Hybrid Picking is picking using the pleck/pick and fingers to play the notes, sometimes at the same time. Chicken Picking is where you mute the notes with the righthand and use a standard picking motion.

I have a bit of hybrid picking in the lesson I done on the home page called "Country/Blues". It uses a simple hybrid picking technique in parts, utilizing the pleck and second finger simultaneously to play 6ths.

I always find that thinking about Colonel Sanders and bread crumbs helps when chickin-pickin' rolleyes.gif .
