A few days ago i got this beautiful Ibanez Prestige SV5470F ... smile.gif

Since a while i thought about to get a new guitar of a bit better quality. All my guitars up to now are in the range below 500 EUR (incl. pickup updates). I tested some different types from time to time, but i find it difficult to get a real impression without the own sound settings and without playing a guitar for at least a few hours.

On one of my last visits to a guitar shop i saw and tested the Ibanez SV and after i could not get this one out of my head. I return again two times to the shop to convince myself that this is NOT the guitar i am looking for laugh.gif (normally i like simple strat type guitars), but it was getting worst each time and i finally broke and bought it.

The exact specs can be found HERE

Here a small example of the Ibanez SV. A modified and bit nervous version of Muris's "Hybrid Picking - intermediate" lesson on which i work at the moment. Hope you like it ..

Thanks Creazy_D and superize ... you both just got a new guitar as well, so you know the excitement smile.gif

Thanks Hammerhead. I am still experimenting with the sound settings as my normal sound patches don't really work with this guitar, but i like it so far smile.gif

I have heard of this issue as well and it's actually true!
This problem comes from the middle pickup. The magnets seems to be too strong ... for now i adjusted the middle pickup as low as possible and now it's ok. I will replace this one very soon. I'm surprised how good the neck and bridge pickups are.

I wanted an Ibanez S5470 Prestige so bad. I gave it up cause I think its too much for a guitar. After seeing this video, I might reconsider it.

wow, that is nice! I usually hate Ibanez guitars but that one looks cool and the tonal options are immense, any chance of a few more tone demos, would love to har the range of this thing, and how is the neck? similar to strat types?

The neck is typical Ibanez i guess, more comfortable as RGs imo, but not really strat type. These True-Duo pickups give a lot of options which i still have to discover smile.gif. I will do some more tone demos of course, but can take a bit of time ..
