Okay, here's a fun topic - whats the longest you've ever held on to a single pick before?

I tend to remember if I hold on to one for a while, cause I lose them so easily. Silly topic I know. While we're at it, what's your favorite kind? I prefer jim dunlop nylon 1mm, they work just fine for picking without being too heavy for strumming, and they have kind of an etching on them which makes a nice sound if you turn the pick sideways and hit the string with it, kind of a scratching sound that really kind of makes each note scream. Great for bluesy stuff. And of all the kinds I've tried, for some reason they stay on my fingers the best.

I use the same kind, Jim Dunlop Nylon 1mm... AND I lose mine all the time too.

But I never get attached to my picks so I have no idea for how long I keep em

lol, if i remember well, ive been using this pick like for 5 months, and i still do! i swear, everytime i loose it comes back to my pocket, its magical =P

its like 1.5m im not sure, since the label tends to fade with time, im not sure.

the longest ive had any pick is about the length of one Iron Maiden song (5-10 minutes),

Lately though, i use sticky tack and put all my picks on my amp, so i always know where they are.

and i use the best picks ever, "Dunlop Gator Grip 2.0"

My picks stay with me for pretty long time. I think i only lost 1 or 2 picks for the time i play guitar. Any label - just has to be 1.14

i can ttouch anything under 2.0, i need a pick wiht zero give.

I usewd to get through hundreds a day, until I bought a pick holder thingy, now I don't lose any I use Dumlop 1.14s

I'm still playing with those Jazz III's. 1.37, I think. Interesting. Small. Not sure I like that. But they came in a pack of 6 and I still have 5 left (not sure where one disappeared to).

I wish I could just buy a Baggie of Random Picks so I could try out a bunch of different ones without having to buy a 6-pack of each.

The two that I'm using now, that dunlop and a fender heavy celluloid which is I'm guessing 2.0 or so, I've had for about 2 weeks.

pfff i had this 1 generic pick thats 1 mm for about a 1year and ahalf...i jsust put it in the same place...every time i quit playing..so i dont lsoe it.........

i use them jazz 3 jim dunlop picks once you try one you'll never be able to use a different one again!

I prefer the Dunlop gator .58mm ones (they are a brownish-red colour). Nice and grippy, flexible but not floppy, they seem to work relatively well for me. Except now I see all these posts talking about 2mm picks and start wondering what I'm missing!

I use the dunlop 1.14,and i keep them all on my amp, cant lose them that way:p

I still have the three 3 picks the guitar store gave me for free when I bought my FIRST guitar about 6 years ago.
