Band/artist: Iron Maiden
Album: Powerslave
Released: 1984
Genre: Heavy Metal

Tracklist:
1. Aces High
2. 2 minutes to midnight
3. Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)
4. Flash of the blade
5. The duellists
6. Back in the village
7. Powerslave
8. The rime of the ancient mariner

*Under construction, the old review really sucked*

I also want to talk about the cover design, it's pretty cool.
Maiden always have Eddie of course, and also this little weird logo that is hidden. But on this cover it's even more than that. Somewhere on the writings on the walls you can see Mickey Mouse and some weird troll with a big nose saying "Wot? No Guinness"
You can't really see it on the CD cover. I have a Powerslave poster where you can see it clearly.

10/10

Thanks for this review! You have make me find my old Powerslave cd (with Nicko McBrain sign!) and listen to it again! It's one of their best albums.

What's fantastic is that every albul has it's own sweet spots. My favourites being Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind, Powerslave shares spot with some earlier Paul DiAnno albums

And PLEASE show me where Micke Mouse and the troll is!!! :-)

LOL! The troll is to the right beetween those lion things and it says "Wot ? No guiness?" HAHA! I totally forgot about that! Mickey Mouse is on the same spot just to the left.
There's probably more stuff on it tongue.gif need to study it more some time.

I love everything from Iron Maiden to Seventh son. But I guess my absolute favorites would be Iron Maiden, Killers and powerslave, but the rest is right behind smile.gif

"In the album "Powerslave", if you look carefully the hieroglyphics on the pyramids, you'll see "encoded" the words "Bollocks", "Indiana Jones was here" and "Wot, no Guinness?""

Yeah there is all sorts of cool stuff in that one, like the Rainbow, Hammersmith Odeon, and a game where Steves Coveted West Ham United is winning smile.gif

Great, great album,

My first band was a tribute to the Beast, a tribute to IRON MAIDEN, yeah, I played Aces High every day and spend lot of hours studying the songs !!! hehe

Very good review, congratulations, it's incredible that this album was released in 1984, amazing.
