Hey GMC,

I'd like to make my own backings, so I can use them to make my own songs, SI lessons, etc. etc. Now I can record guitars in Reaper and that's about it. So I need a drum program, easy to use, and FREE! I just need some simple beats and the ability to change the samples. I'd also need a Drum VST and maybe some other instrument for chords, like keys or orchestra.

I know I kinda want the best for the lowest price and I know that's not possible. I'd like to hear your opinions on what are the best ways to go!

Check this out. Addictive Drums demo version, it's great to offer you basic beats on acoustic drums, you can also do a lot of settings. 3/4, 4/4 6/8, all kinds of fills. Although a demo version, it's great!

For £20 you can get Acoustica Beatcraft which is quite good. I know it's not free but it's a lot cheaper than something like Ezdrummer or Addictive drums.

Wow, that would be awesome. it doesn't have to be a big guide, it would be cool if you could show me how to create a simple BT, for instance drums, bass and something to get a harmony. Ofcourse i could use rhythm guitar for harmony laugh.gif

Great!!

BTW... I created https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...=23124&st=0 this page, so I have some recources to choose from wink.gif

Anyone? I need help on this tongue.gif

I've seen lots of people asking questions on this subject... I think if someone, somewhere, has the opportunity to make an SI lesson on making BT's, he'll become very popular around here laugh.gif At least you'd be my pall wink.gif

The trouble with that is its very software specific.

I could make you a sweet lesson on making nice BTs with guitar pro, sonar 7, superior drummer, and hardcore bass.

But if you dont use those progs how useful would it be?

Most people here have GP5, so if it's possible to make BT's using that.... Would be cool wink.gif

Whether you use AD or Superior Drummer, you still need to know how to get those programs started, using them as Vst, what about MIDI and so on!

Sure Kaz, you have to learn the DAW, MIDI and VST instruments, but once you learn them you can make really realistic and cool sounding backings. GP is just not made for that.
