Hello!

Im stuck with my practicing. I feel like im not doing anny progress at all! I want to learn to shred and play like yngwie, Paul gilber and joe satriani. Im on beginner-medium lvl and i need to practise speed picking and legato.

I am to bad to play the songs i want to play and i cant find anny lesson that fits me (mabye because there are so many). Help me!

an maybe u dont think ur not progressing because ur no longer a beginner. U are probably learning things that take longer than chords and such lol. just keep it up

You could try this lesson, if you're into neoclassical music.
It's cool sounding and has got alot of diffrent techniques. If you'd like, you could also later on try the intermediate and advanced versions.

Stuckness is part of the natural process of developmetn. You can't go on progressing all the time, sometimes you have to stop and think of what is it that you're doing right. Stuckenss is sign that you have to change something in your playing, to change perspective, or generally sign that you have to fix something.

Or maybe you're just overtrained(overplayed)?

I have been stuck on the same speed for almost a year, and now a few days ago I really took the time to get my picking hand movement better, so I moved the wrist only, instead of the fingers/wrist/arm combo in some strange way That really made me blast through that speed barrier I had for such a long time. I am no shredder yet, but I feel that I'm on my way

Regarding lessons.. I practise those hard lessons that I wanna be able to play, but on the speed I can handle. That way I see my progress better IMO. And my goal too This can require patience, but I like it better than playing stuff I manage easy. Extreme-Neoclassic on 90 bpm, closing in to 100 or 110 because of my improved picking hand

If you want to increase your picking and stay clean with your playing, WORK WITH METRONOME!!. Metronome is the musician's best friend. Playing things slow and then increasing speed little by little will make you figure out what you're doing wrong and give the posibility to fix it. Just be patient and don't worry. Nodoby born knowing it all

Speed requires first slowing down...

From what I've learnt (also speed building), you should work more on your accurary.
Just practice, using the tip of the pick to alternative pick though the strings, making sure it isn't angled up or down, but can be angled back a bit towards the bridge. Also use a thick pick with a fine tip for speed.
Work with a metronome and just get it sounding clean and on time. Slowly build up the speed to your breaking point and then slow down.

Take it easy mate, and build your speed step by step. Building speed is not a process that lasts one year or two years. Yngwie, Gilbert and the rest of the shredders worked all their lifes to achieve such a level of playing. Basically what "playing fast" means is being able to execute the licks and exercises you normally play at higher speeds. You can definitely achieve that, but you have to be patient and put a lot of practice time into it.
First step is not to be fast - it is to play with accuracy. Accuracy is the first condition for building speed. If you start sloppy, or somewhere along the way of building speed become sloppy with some exercise, you will not achieve higher tempos. It is crucial that you maintain precision at all times. This way you will become more accurate player, and you will be able to keep the timing right.
One thing that fast player must do is keep his timing right, and this is done by practicing various note durations. Take a metronome and exercise some lick by precisely counting the notes in correlation with the metronome. Tap your foot along the way. Try to acquire a feel where the notes are within the bar, so you don't get lost. Lot of beginner players do not maintain the timing right on faster runs, and this is basically because they haven't really slowed down the part and rehearsed it at slow tempo, so they can figure out what notes belong to what bar.
So keep it steady, keep it precise, keep it cool, and keep rocking - the results usually come sooner then it seems.

If you feel stuck it will definitely help if you learned your favorite Satriani song. There is plenty of doable ones from him that you can get in week or less

You got the tips man, you need to check the lessons of the names you were given, and find out which ones you like.
We don't know what you are capable of, remember.

This I can recommend. The first one I learnt was Always With Me, Always With You - besides good legato and phrasing, you can pick up alot of other things from this one and it is doable. I was able to nail it within 2 weeks as a fairly novice player and it seriously improved my technique and gave me more confidence.
There's also plenty of neoclassical stuff around here on GMC. If not an entire song, you can pick up certain aspects of the style by focusing on one thing at a time such as diminished sweeps or the harmonic minor/phrygian dominant scale.

what lvl do you think this song is? from 1-10 scale

Maybe 4-5, not sure, it's pretty much easy to play, at least main theme,
tapping part seems easy as well but it's quite more tricky rhythm wise,
there are some sweet legato runs too, 4-5 approx tho it's hard to rate whole song like this.
