I just saw one in the Apple Store an hour ago ... needless to say it came home with me, and I had to buy my wife one too - man they are screamingly cool!

Not quite, I have an extremely uncomfortable job that annoys the hell out of me and prevents me from practicing 10 hours a day, but yes, it pays the bills and allows for some fun along the way

Every day though I wonder how I can make a living out of music without taking a huge pay cut. Wish I'd had more discipline and the courage of my convictions when I was younger, and I could have done exactly that.



I'll let you know how it goes. I am normally the same, but this is twice now that I casually looked at an Apple product and was forced to buy it on the spot (the last was a Nano just after they came out). This is in fact the downside that severe GAS sufferers have to handle, a well payed job is a must ...

Just testing it out ... It has an awesome screen and browser. I can now read GMC on my phone, my Blackberry sucked for that !

sadly the bit of Spain I live in mobile coverage sucks big style and 3g is non-existent so the i-phone is just a non -starter for me. Internet is an expensive sat. connection can't even get a land line! (Don't even have mains running water ) Ho hum it's the price I pay to live in the sun. Suppose it means I get to save all my cash to spend on guitars instead .

iPhone doesn't support 3G, so that part at least makes no difference



And I know I'd rather live in the sun these days than have a new phone (besides, just got one 3 weeks ago - and it's not an iPhone )

Phones are very annoying!!!! At my house. Its constent NON-STOP ringing, and you can never tell if its someone important, or just bill colletors

I wouldn't count on a price drop. Apple likes their pricepoints. iPods tend to cost the same over time...they just add more stuff to the device as it gets cheaper to make them. I've heard rumors of some coming versions at a lower pricepoint, but I don't think that makes sense.

Personally, I'm probably going to wait a year or two and see what version 2 is....if I'm paying $600 for a phone it better be damn near perfect and the current iPhone ain't it.
