Hey Pavel,

Hope alls well smile.gif

With regards to endorsment, i think having a portfolio of work behind you is a must-i.e. The GMC lessons, columns etc. Collate everything you have done instruction wise, compositionally and put in in a portfolio that you can send over the web etc.

You also have to be well known in the Live circuit, AFAIK, so that you generate PR and interest, and people want to buy your cd's etc, your guitar etc.

Knowing people/networking cant be a bad thing either.

Doing website interviews can also help, which shows some degree of being 'known'.

With endorsements, the company(s) want to get something back, whether that be increased sales of strings, guitars etc.

These are just suggestions, im really not an authority on the matter.

-Ben

its all about Advertising biggrin.gif. Anyone who will endorse anyone else does it so that their product will get known and wanted by the people of the world. Examples

Dimbag Darrel and Krank Amplification.
or Schecter Guitars and Shadows Fall
Ibanez and Steve Vai.

To get onto the Deal Markley ( strings ) Endorsement list, they want to know information about what type of guitarist you are, details about and record deals and or tours, etc.)

So really being a big name, or an upcoming name, in a good band, realeasing an album, even touring with a big band(backup guitarist). Its all about if the people have heard of you.

an Endorsement is where a company uses a famous name to promote product sales. For example, a company will give a famous guitarist free custom guitars (and perhaps a little cash as well) to play THEIR guitars EXCLUSIVELY on stage and/or in the studio.

basically, it's like being sponsored. except, with endorsement, the person endorsing the product (the big name) has a good chance of getting stinking rich just by playing a certain guitar or hitting a certain golf ball or wearing a hat with a certain logo on it etc.
