I know this is super stupid, but, i like to sleep close to the floor so i got just a mattress, not actually a bed... well this morning i woke up very happy cause i had to record a lesson, and i was a little sleepy so i got my shoes on and the next thing i know is that i was trying to stand up with my left hand under my left shoe sad.gif

so yeah my left hand hurts now (gotta loose some weight tongue.gif)

this is a stupid "accident" that wont let me play as comfortable as i'm used maybe for today, but on a more serious side, anyone had a real accident that wont let you play? that must be the saddest thing in the world.

just wondering, i know it's a creepy subject.

I had an accident that disabled my left hand for most of two weeks but nothing very serious thankfully.

Ouch, stepping on your hand can't be comfortable :S

About a year ago, I was late for school and figured I'd run indoors.. At my parents house (since I lived at home then) we had a low-friction panelfloor surface with a mat on it.. I slipped on the mat and landed on my hand, making me unable to play for some weeks... That was boring tongue.gif

I layed a brick terrace in backyard and an walking path to the front of the house. Padding the ground real hard and laying out a couple of tons worth of stone bricks.
The joints in both my hands ached for two long months, I thought I had developed arthritis since the ache never went away.
After two months it started to get better and a couple more weeks it was gone.
Playing the guitar was difficult with aching and unflexible fingers. sad.gif

Ouch!, sorry to hear Adrian, hopefully that will heal soon though smile.gif

This summer I had a mini-accident too, I sliced my left hand index fingertip while cutting a watermelon laugh.gif It took three weeks to heal properly, but I played everyday nonetheless.

Accidents do happen. Let's just hope they don't affect our fretting hands from now on! wink.gif

Oh man - be careful we need your hands for more lessons!

The worse thing I did was stepping my glasses I think - I had shoes so it hurt my wallet more than it hurt my foot! laugh.gif

A few years back (5 or so) I almost cut the top of my middle finger (Left hand) off with a Petrol driven Hedgetrimmer, a couple of years ago I almost drilled through my index finger (Left hand) with a Power screwdriver. Quite a few years ago I managed to push the knuckle of my little finger (Right hand) through the back of my hand. I still have a 3 inch scar down the back of my hand from that one!! There's quite a few more instances due to motorcycle accidents too!!
Although, one time, after a Motorcycle accident when I'd hurt both my legs all I could actually do was sit in bed and play guitar or watch TV!!!!

Well at least I had a good excuse - I was fishing and I had just caught a big fish! biggrin.gif To be more specific I missunderstood what species it was - so I though I had new Swedish record!! (I immediately stepped on my glasses to celebrate...not)
