I know this is super stupid, but, i like to sleep close to the floor so i got just a mattress, not actually a bed... well this morning i woke up very happy cause i had to record a lesson, and i was a little sleepy so i got my shoes on and the next thing i know is that i was trying to stand up with my left hand under my left shoe
so yeah my left hand hurts now (gotta loose some weight ) this is a stupid "accident" that wont let me play as comfortable as i'm used maybe for today, but on a more serious side, anyone had a real accident that wont let you play? that must be the saddest thing in the world. just wondering, i know it's a creepy subject. -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! Ouch, stepping on your hand can't be comfortable :S
About a year ago, I was late for school and figured I'd run indoors.. At my parents house (since I lived at home then) we had a low-friction panelfloor surface with a mat on it.. I slipped on the mat and landed on my hand, making me unable to play for some weeks... That was boring -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

I layed a brick terrace in backyard and an walking path to the front of the house. Padding the ground real hard and laying out a couple of tons worth of stone bricks.
The joints in both my hands ached for two long months, I thought I had developed arthritis since the ache never went away. After two months it started to get better and a couple more weeks it was gone. Playing the guitar was difficult with aching and unflexible fingers. -------------------- My bands homepage

Ouch!, sorry to hear Adrian, hopefully that will heal soon though
This summer I had a mini-accident too, I sliced my left hand index fingertip while cutting a watermelon It took three weeks to heal properly, but I played everyday nonetheless. Accidents do happen. Let's just hope they don't affect our fretting hands from now on! -------------------- Guitars:

Oh man - be careful we need your hands for more lessons!
The worse thing I did was stepping my glasses I think - I had shoes so it hurt my wallet more than it hurt my foot! |

gotta take care of those hands
ahh...i get goose bumps when i read this thread.... are you alive ? those are quite a few accidents, gotta take care man A few years back (5 or so) I almost cut the top of my middle finger (Left hand) off with a Petrol driven Hedgetrimmer, a couple of years ago I almost drilled through my index finger (Left hand) with a Power screwdriver. Quite a few years ago I managed to push the knuckle of my little finger (Right hand) through the back of my hand. I still have a 3 inch scar down the back of my hand from that one!! There's quite a few more instances due to motorcycle accidents too!! Although, one time, after a Motorcycle accident when I'd hurt both my legs all I could actually do was sit in bed and play guitar or watch TV!!!! -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! hahahahahahahhaahaha! catch and release? or u actually eat the fish ?
Well at least I had a good excuse - I was fishing and I had just caught a big fish! To be more specific I missunderstood what species it was - so I though I had new Swedish record!! (I immediately stepped on my glasses to celebrate...not) -------------------- Check my Instructor Profile Rockers! Got a Blog too!, www.adriantracks.com Follow me on facebook and youtube! -Youtube |
