My first Mini Reviews are online.
These are great to get an impression of the product in question, and read gear related stuff in small doses
without all the technical info and/or other in-depth explanations that make your head ache biggrin.gif

Check them out:

Nice read man. Strange that the keyboard with iMac doesn't have a numeric part.

Nice!!! :-) But one thing that confuses me is that it say's in the article (the link to the sound-samples) about Rheinhardt that he uses only selected NOS-tubes for his amps, and in your review You say that there are Tungssol, JJ and EH-tubes. All of these are made in Russia as far as I know and is not consider as NOS-tubes, which is typically Sylvania, Philips, Mullard etc. Where they switched before You bought the amp? Btw. the sound samples were great!!! biggrin.gif

No probs.... I found it strange that he would use EH-tubes and Tungsol (eg. made by Sovtek), they are really considered to be bad by amp-builders and technicians...... In a great amp like this only the best is good enough!!! biggrin.gif

Yes I did, but I didn't include them there because I'm going to record some new ones in a little bit!
Just need to get all the work outta the way first, and I'll post some new samples with varying gain stages, settings etc. smile.gif

Looking forward to this!!!! I found, when trying to make sound samples, it is very hard to get the "real" sound into the computer, and now I'm thinking of using a room mic instead of close-micing the amp. In some strange sort of way my guitar sound sounds better in the mic from my video-cam than when it's properly miced... huh.gif But I guess that's because of the fact that the room also colours the sound and that the mic is where You actually hear the sound..... Guess I have to dig-in to the world of convolution reverbs.....

Two mics, one dynamic slightly off the center of the cone, and one condenser a bit further away and the sound can be achieved. If the room has nice reverb it would be cool to hear it naturally.
