1) Enjoy the Silence - Lacuna Coil remake of Depressed Mode

People should prepare more for death since it lasts much longer than life!

This topic stirred up some serious controversy that normal I don't see on this site, but hey for some reason it's refreshing knowing the members on this website can show something other than positive emotions....
At my funeral I'd like for something to be played that sends ya know the shivers down my spine.
But i dunno if the rooster by AIC would apply or Nutshell.
You know metallica really would be good to play at a funeral....like"Fade to Black"
Or maybe "Another One Bites the Dust" smile.gif

Well if you are a funny guy, and people know this, friends and family. And you choose Another One Bites the Dust, it would probably put a smile on peoples faces and maybe lighten the mood a bit. I think anyway, it could be very good, rather than have a slow sad song.

yea, well said man. Although its something tragic, a song like that would remind you that even though that person is gone, you still have his personality in your memories. And that is something worth keeping.

Right on man, to me this thread is funny. Its nice to think that someone will be blasting "As I am" at a funeral, rather than fearing death itself and spending all my time doing that rather than naming off Dream Theater tunes for my wake. C'mon Lol : laugh.gif laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

Agreed!

I really don't think the topic starter had any bad intentions - but when a member from a different culture reacts strongly to the topic - I do think it calls for all little more respect.

Fortunately for me - I live in Sweden were we haven't seen any conflict or war for a long time. For most parts of the world this is not the case. Even though these countries might not be very well represented on our forum, I think we should show some respect!

Kris

I think Hemlok was more thinking along the lines of "What song would sum up your life so far?"

And I have no clue. .. Actually maybe:
Highwayman - The Highwaymen

It's a great song about our forefathers.
