Yay! finally I found the forum to introduce myself !!
Firstly thanks for taking me on! Well, my name is Chris, I live in hertfordshire, England and I've been playing guitar for just over a year now - but like most people i feel I've started off on the wrong foot and didn't really have any structure to my playing. I basically picked up the guitar and started trying to learn my favorite songs via tabs. As you can imagine this has given me some bad habits and some very bad techniques! During this time I didn't know any chords or scales, i literally just knew how to play certain licks from tabs. Over the last 6 weeks (ish) I've hired a personal guitar teacher who comes to my house and has started to teach me the basics. I can now play barre chords using the caged system on the 4th, 5th, 6th string and I can play the minor pentatonic scale and the major pentatonic scale. I love playing guitar! but Im getting a bit frustrated in the fact that i've been playing for over a year but have little to show for it! Hopefully that's where GMC MTP comes in I'm really looking to improve my chords, fretting ability, strumming hand ability (syncing them both), timing and how to put chords together improvising. Then i'd like to be able to play some decent rock/metal. My main inspirations are offspring and metallica. As I've said above i went head first into learning my fav songs - the first thing i tried to learn was "The kid's aren't alright - Offspring". What else about me..... well, aside from guitar I spend most of my time playing around with SQL sever (im a total computer geek) and love playing computer games online (with rl friends). SO, now i suppose i should add some clips of me playing - but im not to sure what to upload. Can you please guide me on this? Looking forward to making a start in the program ! Cheers, Chris -------------------- When I look in the mirror I see a face-melting guitar shredder.... maybe my mirror tells the future?

Hi Pedja,
Im really struggling to get the time to play guitar let alone video myself for MTP. Im really gutted about this ! I really want to take part but fear that i'm no longer getting the time i need to put into this! Maybe it is best that I pull out and try again in the next MTP? Man I'm sorry I can't give this my fullest attention -------------------- When I look in the mirror I see a face-melting guitar shredder.... maybe my mirror tells the future?
