Hey guyz !

I found 20 mins ago a WONDERFUL game called : Frets On Fire

The purpose is simple, you have to play notes displayed on your computer's screen with your keyboard !

The notes are played with F1 F2 F3 F4 and to pick it's ENTER, of course you can change them when you want, if you want to play with a guitar you can buy a Guitar Hero's guitar and plugin it into your computer and that works !

It's a free program and Open Source so here's : Frets On Fire

As many Open Source programs there are many languages like : English, French, German, etc.. (I saw many other languages like Finish etc but dunno if that works :/)

If you have any question tell me, or try to search on google (e.g : How to import musics or plug a guitar hero guitar etc..)

Cu biggrin.gif

That thing is quite old, i wondered that i didnt appear on this site earlier smile.gif And it is way more fun if you hold your keyboard like a guitar so you can "fret" f1 to f4 with your left hand and "pick" enter with the right hand. Air guitar like... smile.gif

This is quite a famous guitar hero clone game. Its cool that its open source. But I recommend taking that time for real guitar practice/jamming. smile.gif

Definately my thought. I see so many GH master that if they spent their time learning the real guitar they can actually learn the tunes they are faking to play.

But it is a video game so Im sure its meant to beplayed for fun.

Air guitaristist have more talent! LOL

@Bogdan: It is definitely possible to make custom songs for this software. I'm not sure how, but it's definitely possible!

Wow this sounds cool! I'm gonna look it up when I free some time. It would be really cool (and hillarious) to have custom Frets on fire songs from my band! smile.gif

The good thing about it is that you can make guitar and bass lines of the song for 2 players.

Nice - I've always like playing Battle of the Bands and JamLegend, both similar guitar hero styled games like that one. smile.gif
