I don't know if there is another topic exactly like this one, but what do you say? I'm sure most of you will say gals, but I say guys.

Funny/weird topic, I know.

Inspired by this topic.

lmao!

Well almost anything sexy, treated well and well cared for is a gal... sports car, etc.

I consisted my Les Paul sexy and well looked after, so she's a gal!

If you play thrash metal, throwing it around and bang it against the amp, then it might be a guy or you would end up in court!

Hahahaha! I knew I'd get these kinds of responses! laugh.gif I had forgotten that most languages have that masculine and feminine genders in the language. I remember la and el in the Spanish course I took. When I told my friend that my guitars are all guys (because he had asked me) he said, "Dude, think about being in the same room for hours with a bunch of guys!" laugh.gif But yeah, wanna talk to them on a guy level. Right now I'm focusing on music so I don't have a girlfriend. I will one day I'm sure, but if I get one now then my heart won't be in it. My heart is in music right now. wink.gif So that's probably why the guitars are guys. smile.gif

However, if I try to change them to gals someday, they might revolt and blast my ears!
Imagine.... "WE ARE GUYS! WE ARE GUYS! WE ARE GUYS!"

I never equated objects to gender or people's names. I never named any cars, or guitars...or considered ANY of them he or shes. I just call them "the Jackson...the white Strat...the black Strat...the Ibanez." Boring I guess!

Of course it is a girl .... I wouldn't want to make a guy scream like my strat does.... Plus in french we say une(she) guitare and not un(he) guitar, so It makes a lot of sense.

I'm close to this belief.

I guess a lot of guys wants to score some girls by playing the guitar.
And if not a guy I see an electric guitar as a male organ. An extension of your own mandom
...the girls off course wants you to be able to handle such a "guy".
You can not score with bad playing.

It's the same with guns. That's why Arnold picks up the biggest gun he can find in Terminator II.
The macho cop always bears a big Magnum.
But then again Big Bertha should never have got that name.

So yes, bad ass electric guitar is male (maybe not a guy)
And the classic guitar has female curves, is fragile and should be treated carefully
